Downtown Ithaca is a must-see, must-dine at, must-check-out area of Ithaca with a number of cool areas to explore — The Ithaca Commons, Press Bay Alley & Court, Dewitt Mall, and Restaurant Row–all of which are in completely walkable area from each other.

The Ithaca Commons:

Press Bay Alley & Court: Downtown Ithaca’s newest development is a great little area to explore.  The area features a variety of foodie micro shops:

Press Bay Alley is also home to Circus Culture, a circus arts school and Ithaca Generator, a community maker space and a variety of shops to check out!

Dewitt Mall: Downtown Ithaca’s Historic Mall located inside a historic high school building, is home to an eclectic variety of independent retailers as well as the legendary Moosewood Restaurant.  Cafe Dewitt serving lunch and one of the best weekend brunches in all of Ithaca are also located inside along with Green Star Natural Food Market serving kombucha on tap.

Throughout the summer and fall, the Dewitt Park across the street from Dewitt Mall is home to the Tuesday Farmers Market where you’ll find most downtown office employees picking up fresh produce and grabbing a bite on their Tuesday lunch hour.
